For explanation purpose I have a textbox in my page. I have
included the below jquery library in the head section.

type="text/javascript"></script>
After that in keydown event I called
the below javascript code to get the keycode and alert it to the user. The
below javascript is used to get the keycode and alert it to the user.
<script type="text/javascript">
$("#txttest").keydown(function (e) {
//if (e.keyCode
== 32) return 109;
alert(e.keyCode);
});
</script>
